Accsoon has announced its new V-Lock adapter for the CineView Master 4K and CineView 2 SDI wireless transmitters.

The dock allows for a camera and transmitter to be powered via the same V-lock battery, creating an ergonomic and integrated solution, which is ideal for ENG cameras, cameras like the FX6 and C400, and mirrorless cameras with V-lock adapter plates. You could also use it with mirrorless cameras fitted with V-lock accessory plates.

I recently reviewed the CineView Master 4K and in that review, I mentioned that the physical size and weight are both factors you need to consider carefully if you are thinking of purchasing. The system takes up a lot of real estate and it is going to add a reasonable amount of weight to smaller camera set-ups. I also stated that Accsoon could also come up with a version of the CineView Master 4K that has V-mount (or G-mount) plates on both sides so it could be sandwiched between a battery and a camera.

The CineView Master 4K or CineView 2 SDI wireless transmitter is securely held in the adapter and powered via a short captive DC cable. Power from the V-lock battery is passed through to the camera.

The V-Lock adapter is made of aluminum alloy, making it durable and lightweight. The adapter weighs 293g / 10.35 oz. I still think the combination of the CineView Master 4K, V-Lock adapter, and a V-mount battery is way too much weight to add to a mirrorless hybrid or small-sized digital camera.

The Tri-band CineView Master 4K transmitter allows for 4K HDMI or HD-SDI wireless connections. Any combination of CineView Master 4K receiver units, tablets, or smartphones up to a total of four devices can be connected. The wireless transmission latency is pretty low when using SDI and transmitting HD.

In addition, the CineView Master 4K transmitter can connect to an iOS device via wired MFi connection, allowing iPhones or iPads to be used as on-camera monitors and streaming devices. This also allows content to be recorded to the device camera roll for rapid sharing via social media, and files transmitted directly to Frame.io for quick remote editing.

Having all these features in a more ergonomic package that sits neatly at the rear of a cinema or broadcast camera is a good solution for a wide range of movie, broadcast, and social media applications.

Alternatively, the CineView 2 SDI mounts securely in the adapter and can also be powered from the V-lock battery, creating a convenient, lighter-weight wireless transmission solution that can send low latency HD video to RX units, tablets, and phones.
