Jungle Power– sustainable power storage for the Film & TV Industry

Jungle Power is a new Australian company whose goal is to bring sustainable clean power solutions to transform energy storage and distribution for media and entertainment.

The products were designed to meet the energy needs of nearly any project, large or small. Jungle Power technology has already been qualified by California‘s Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE) program. Jungle Power integrates solar, wind, and other renewable energy sources with intelligent system management.

When it comes to adopting sustainable energy practices, it must be more than a goal. It has to be a change grounded in reality, with tangible actions to take. But to make it achievable, clean, renewable energy must be accessible, cost-effective, and viable for many applications. Whether it’s powering a bustling film set, a remote construction site, or even a small island community, renewable energy is the key to reducing carbon emissions.

Jungle Power is led by CEO Mark Naidoo, who was the former CMO at Creamsource. As we are all aware, traditional combustion-powered generators can be noisy, polluting, and require frequent servicing and refueling, making them a less-than-ideal solution for on-set operations. Jungle Power’s solutions are claimed to be eco-friendly, quiet, and require minimal maintenance while enhancing both environmental sustainability and productivity wherever mobile energy solutions are needed.

The brand has launched with three portable clean power solutions:

  • JKD Solar Marquee: This versatile shelter is equipped with integrated solar panels, offering 600 watts of renewable energy. Ideal for powering video villages or support areas on set, the JKD significantly reduces reliance on combustible generators, cutting emissions and costs while providing a quiet, efficient power source.
  • J5 Power Station: With a 3.6kW capacity and IP66 durability, the J5 is engineered for the rigors of film production. Its noise-free operation and compact design make it perfect for smaller setups, ensuring uninterrupted power without disturbing shoots. The J5’s capacity to handle high demands with a minimal footprint is a game-changer for on-location shoots.
  • J80 Energy Storage System: For larger projects, the J80 offers an 80kWh centralized power source, dramatically reducing emissions and fuel costs. Its robust design is suitable for powering base camps and large setups, making it an essential asset for productions seeking sustainable, reliable energy solutions.

J5 Power Station

The J5 Energy Storage System packs industrial-grade power into a portable, silent, and resilient 5kWh battery designed for demanding applications. With 3,600W continuous output and a peak power of 18,000W, the J5 delivers reliable, emission-free energy for everything from film sets and outdoor events to construction and off-grid setups. Thanks to LiFePO4 technology, it offers over 4,000 life cycles and recharges fully in under 3.5 hours, minimizing downtime.

Built tough with an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water, the J5 is optimized for use in challenging environments. Its near-silent operation (<25 dB) makes it ideal for noise-sensitive applications, while global voltage compatibility (120/230V) supports seamless use anywhere. When you need dependable, sustainable power on demand, the J5 is the ultimate choice for professionals who work beyond the grid.

J80

Jungle

If you need a lot of power, the J80 looks to be a good solution. It utilizes Lithiumron phosphate batteries to provide 80kWh of power. It can output 400/230V 50Hz.

The three phase charge time is claimed to be just 3 hrs.

The industry-leading Quattro combines both the inverter and charger in a single unit.

Parallel: The J80 features multiple inverters/chargers to run in parallel with an option for a 3-phase configuration output. 15kVA units can also scale up, effectively providing 144kW / 180kVA inverter power and 2400A charging capacity.

UPS no-break: The key advantage to running this inverter is it can maintain output and balance connected loads in the event of a power failure. This process is less than 20 milliseconds, meaning no disruption for equipment operating.

Off the grid: The inverter is also designed for mixing anything you can throw at it, from DC-coupled PV or AC-coupled PV, or even a combination of both.

Two AC Inputs & two AC Outputs: The inverter can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example, PV power and a generator, or two generators, and will automatically connect to the active input.

Price & Availability
