You can shoot in H.264 or H.265 and the maximum bitrate is 180Mbps.
The new dual chip system and sensor are claimed to deliver stunning clarity even in the most challenging lighting. Insta360 states that the AI noise reduction ensures crisp details and enhanced brightness.
It features a 2.5” flip touchscreen, durable design, and crystal-clear audio with a removable Wind Guard and improved audio algorithms.
I-Log & new Leica Color Profiles
Insta360 has finally introduced a log curve that they are calling I-Log. This is long overdue as DJI and GoPro have had one for a while.
There is also a selection of new Leica Color Profiles that you can use if you don’t want to shoot I-Log.
You can choose from Standard, Vivid, I-Log, Leica Vivid, Leica Natural, Portrait, Film, Vintage, Urban, Night.
Timecode
You can do seamless multi-cam synchronization when using multiple Insta360 Ace Pro 2’s. This works with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like you can use the timecode function to sync an Insta360 Ace Pro 2 with other cameras.
4K Clarity Zoom
With the 8K sensor, you can tap twice on the touchscreen and zoom in 2x without losing image quality when capturing in 4K.
Other Features
How does it compare to the original Insta360 Ace Pro?
As you can see, the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 has higher framerates than its predecessor, a slightly better waterproof depth rating, and perhaps the two biggest new additions are the I-Log profile and the addition of timecode support when using multiple Insta360 Ace Pro 2 cameras.
