The HUGEROCK PD70 Super Bright 2600nits 7″ Portable Display Camera Monitor is a Kickstarter project. It is a 7′ 2600nits ultrathin portable screen camera field monitor with clear visibility under sunlight, a 98% wide color Gamut display, and low power.
The company is stating that by increasing the screen’s luminance from 1000nits to 2600nits, they have made it possible for those working outdoors (photographers, drone operators, and live streamers) to view their clear visuals, flight videos, and streaming content on the PD70, no matter how bright the sunlight is.
Now, high-brightness monitors are nothing new, and quite a few of the affordable ones I have reviewed are extremely milky and washed out when set at their maximum brightness. It would be interesting to see how this one performs.
Above you can see how it can be used in various scenarios.
The monitor weighs 292g and it is 7.5mm thick. The power consumption is 4.8W and it features Mini HDMI and USB-C inputs.
Above you can see how much the product costs to back.
You need to be aware of the risks when backing any crowd-funded project as there are no guarantees that you will receive the product on time or even at all.
Trying to see a non brand name monitor is extremely tough, especially with so many good and affordable monitors already on the market that feature operating systems that are designed specifically for video use.
