Some lav mics are easier to hide than others. The RØDE Lavalier II is different because the capsule is on the side front side instead of on top. Bubblebee Industries has created a simple and effective new Lav Concealer for the RØDE Lavalier II that fixes this issue. The RØDE Lavalier II is a good microphone at an excellent price and is included with the Wireless Pro kit. Now, it has just become more versatile. I use the RØDE Wireless Pro a lot at work for in-studio promos as I dont need much range and it works well. It’s handy to hide the transmitter with a built-in microphone on the main set for NAT sound as well.
The Lav Concealer is a custom mount for the RØDE Lavalier II. It fits the capsule snugly, making it easier to conceal the mic while protecting it from glue build-up caused by repeatedly taping directly. Like the RØDE Lavalier II, the Lav Concealer is designed to be ultra-low profile, sitting flush under clothing for discreet, professional-quality audio capture. It can be attached directly to skin or clothing using Lav Concealer Tape, which is strong, hypoallergenic, and easy to apply, ensuring secure mounting on fabric or skin without worry. I highly recommend getting the Concealer Tape, as it works perfectly with the system. I use surgical tape frequently, but the capsule on the front makes putting tape over it impossible.

The Lav Concealer is made from biodegradable natural rubber, offering an eco-friendly choice you can feel good about. The soft, flexible rubber absorbs vibrations, outperforming harder materials like plastic and reducing unwanted noise from reaching the lapel mic capsule. The Lav Concealer for RØDE Lavalier II also includes a color-matched fabric guard and clothing clip made from sprung metal, which attaches through tiny holes on the front and back of the concealer. The combination of rubber and metal works together to block friction and vibrations from transferring to the mic capsule, ensuring clearer sound.
