At IBC 2024 in Amsterdam, Hollyland was showing their upcoming Cosmo C2 Wireless Video System. The system consists of two TX units and a dual RX receiver with an in-built V-mount battery plate.
This looks to be a good solution if you are running two cameras and need to send both signals to a director’s monitor.
The RX unit features 2 SDI outs and two HDMI outputs. This allows you to send the signals from both TX units to two monitors or to a single monitor that has the capability to display a dual view.
The TX unit also features a UVC output so you can connect it directly to a computer to do livestreaming. There is also a LAN port for using NDI. You can power the TX via a DC barrel connector if you don’t want to use a V-lock battery.
The operating range of the Cosmo C2 will be 1000m / 3280′ which is a huge increase over the Cosmo C1 which had a range of 300m / 984′.
