At IBC 2024, Portkeys showed an all-new product for live streaming. The 5.4″ PL5 is designed as an indoor streaming monitor with an integrated capture card. This feature makes it easy to connect directly to your computer and start streaming from any HDMI video source.
Another feature I have not seen before is the ability to color-correct the image with precision. You can pick an individual color, such as the talent’s pants or shirt or a building—basically, any color—by tapping it and changing the color, hue, and saturation.
It even has a mask feature to fine-tune the color so it looks natural. This is quite impressive; I haven’t seen this on a monitor before.
The last feature is the Long Legs effect. It’s primarily used in portrait mode. You put the leg of the subject on the red line and adjust the image to make the person appear to be taller.
