The Atomos Ninja Phone has had a couple of significant updates. It can now record up to 4K DCI at 24p, 25p, and 30p. 4K was a big request from potential buyers, and it is now available as a free update. Jeramy stated they had fast enough memory, but on release, they didn’t have enough time to add it in and didn’t know how far they could push it, but they got it done.
The Ninja Phone is a recorder, monitor, and streamer in HDR 10-bit 4K. It is now compatible with the Apple iPad as well.
Ninja Phone converts any HDMI video signal into a high-quality video file format. This video data is then transferred in real-time to USB-C-equipped smartphones and tablets, turning them into professional low-latency video monitors, recorders, and live streamers.
It’s ideal for professional filmmakers, social media content creators, and a wide range of applications like gaming, where you need to record or stream a video source without a computer. It also sets you up for camera-to-cloud workflows.
The update for the Ninja Phone is coming soon and will be available in the App Store.
