The IDX CinePower HV-160B 28.7V 153Wh B-Mount Battery was designed to power B-mount cameras and accessories.
It offers fast 100W PD charging (which I personally haven’t seen on a B-mount battery before), and it supports up to 10A loads. There are also multiple accessory outputs, including D-Tap, USB-C, and USB-A.
We first saw prototypes of these batteries back at Interbee 2023 in Japan.
The USB-C PD In/Out allows you to power accessories or charge the battery without needing a large and bulky B-mount charger. This means you could charge the HV-160B via a compatible USB-C PD wall charger in around 2-3 hours. The battery can also output 60W via USB-C.
This battery’s digital interface and OLED screen displays information like the remaining run time, residual capacity, supplied power, battery life, and more. The B-mount interface is used by select ARRI and other brands of professional cine-style cameras and select lights and camera accessories.
