At Cine Gear 2024 in Los Angeles, Revar Cine showed me their filter storage solution. The Revar Cine 4×5.65 Hard Plastic Cinema Filter Cartridge is a solid, high-quality injection molded poly-nylon material that is highly impact-resistant, pressure and temperature-resistant case designed to keep your expensive filters safe while in storage and fingerprint-free due to the design. The top latch, when opened, reveals the filter with room to grab it from the sides and makes it easy to remove.
When stored, they can be easily stacked with low-power magnets built into the case for auto alignment. If you have several and want to keep them together, a thick rubber band is used. The magnets are not strong enough to keep them together, but they help in stacking.
Each case is held together by special screws that can be removed to clean the inside of the case if you get sand or dirt inside. Even with particulate in the case, the internal rail design keeps the filter away from any abrasive particles for a very slim chance of scratching the filter.
Filter labels are also available for proximity $5.00.
