Laowa has announced the latest additions to the OOOM Cine Zoom Series, the 14-60mm T2.9 MFT Cine and 20-85mm T4 S35 Cine lenses, which are available in MFT and ARRI PL mount respectively.
These lenses are being touted as affordable cine zoom solutions for small-scale productions and the rigorous demands of documentary filmmaking.
The original OOOM 25-100 T2.9 was announced more than 5 years ago, but it never really caught on. I reviewed the lens on the site in August 2020.

Thoughts
I am a little puzzled as to where the the OOOM 20-85mm T4 S35 Cine fits in the line-up, especially after Loawa recently just announced the Ranger S35 series which covers a range of 16-130mm. However, in saying that, if you are looking for a single mid-range S35 zoom then the range of 20-85mm is pretty decent. While it isn’t quite wide enough at 20mm, Laowa wouldn’t have been able to make the lens any wider without increasing the size and weight.
