If you’re a Sony user and have the DJI Mic 2 then, you’re in luck! The new DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter can connect the DJI Mic 2 receiver to a Sony camera’s MI shoe.
It enables audio recording without a 3.5mm TRS cable and supports digital audio recording. Through the adapter, a Sony camera can also supply power to the DJI Mic 2 receiver.
Compatibility
- Sony ZV-E1, ZV E10
- Sony a1
- Sony a7C, a7C II, a7CR
- Sony a7S III
- Sony a7R IV, a7R IVA, a7R V
- Sony a9 II, a9 III
- Sony a6700
- Sony FX30, FX3
This is an excellent setup and truly makes it a wireless system. One note is the FX6 and FX9 cinema cameras are not on the compatibility list. That does seem a bit odd, as they both have the MI shoe. I feel it would work, but it needs to be tested. DJI is probably marketing to the hybrid camera users.
The DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter is also very reasonably priced at $35. It’s available directly from DJI or at your favorite camera shop worldwide.
