ASUS 32″ ProArt 8K Display

ASUS has unveiled their new 32” ProArt Display PA32KCX. According to ASUS, the ProArt Display PA32KCX is the world’s first 8K Mini LED professional monitor.

It will be interesting to see whether you can tell the difference between seeing 8K on a display of this size, compared to a 5K Mac display.

The display features a resolution of 7680 x 4320, and the4096-zone mini LED display is claimed to delivers exceptional Delta E<1 true 10-bit color accuracy with 97% DCI-P3 coverage. You can use built-in motorized flip colorimeter to ensure color accuracy and adapt to different projects with both activated and scheduled auto calibrations. Calman and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS professional hardware calibration software is also supported.

The ProArt Display PA32KCX has 1200 nits of peak brightness in HDR mode with 1000 nit of sustained brightness. It supports formats such as HDR10 and HLG.

The 32” ASUS ProArt Display PA32KCX display has HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 inputs, as well as dual Thunderbolt 4 with 96W power delivery and a dedicated USB hub. The display also features LuxPixel Technology, a suite of features that include Anti-Glare, Low-Reflection (AGLR) technology and Eye Care+ to help reduce eyestrain.

ProArt Displays are claimed to offer industry-leading color accuracy and are primed to take on any content-creation workflow. Self-Calibration is compatible with all operating systems, no additional software needed. Users can initiate calibration anytime, or schedule it via the OSD menu.

The ASUS-exclusive ProArt Calibration tool helps users calibrate in both SDR and HDR modes and works with both macOS and Windows. ProArt Displays also work with major calibrators and professional hardware calibration software, such as Calman and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS, for top performance. ProArt Color Center is a web-based online tool designed to help administrators manage the color accuracy of multiple ProArt displays that feature hardware calibration support ― even if they’re using different color parameters and/or situated in different locations.

ASUS DisplayWidget Center and ProArt Creator Hub provide a unified experience across connected ProArt displays, allowing creators to easily adjust settings and optimize workflows. ASUS DisplayWidget Center allows users to tweak monitor settings with a mouse instead of using the buttons on the monitor. ProArt Creator Hub Color Management features a screen color picker or image color extractor to provide detailed color analysis and information, and integrated Pantone functionality brings you a wide range of color-related functions. You can also discover 2024 color trends and color palettes made by the professional ASUS Design Center to inspire your creativity

The ASUS 32″ ProArt 8K Display will retail for $8,000 USD, so $1k for 1K.
