At NAB 2024 in Las Vegas, MOVMAX was showing its Grip Dolly. This looks to be a very well featured and versatile system that is affordably priced.
The Grip Dolly had a load-bearing capacity of 90kg / 198 lbs so it can be used even with the heaviest camera packages.
The Grip Dolly platform was very well made and it features a bunch of tapped 1/4-20″ and 3/8″ holes for mounting accessories.
MOVMAX also has these nice little cable clamps that you can use which help keep things out of the way to avoid any snagging.
All of the components in the kit have been well thought out and designed.
What I like is that the base is easily removable and you can add a variety of different industry standard mounts as well as an underslung attachment and the ability to raise your camera higher on the Grip Dolly which is useful if you are doing push in or push out shots so you don’t see the track.
You can also use it as a table top dolly or turn it into a low-hat which increases its versatility.
The wheels have also been optimized and they will also work on curved track as well as straight track.
The optional 10′ / 3.3m track that you can purchase is well made and it used strong magnets to attach together to create seamless joins. The rails are 1.5″ in diameter.

The MOVMAX Grip Dolly retails for $999 USD and above you can see what you get in the kit.
