At NAB 2024 in Las Vegas, PAG was showing its new Cinergy Batteries which was designed to power 28V equipment by using linked 14.4V batteries.
It is good to see battery technology progressing and companies coming up with new solutions.
This is a clever concept because it allows you to run high-power draw cameras and lights that require 28V from 14V batteries with capacities that can be taken onboard commercial aircraft.
The way it works is that a sensor on the battery plate sees a barcode and then tells the two Cinergy batteries to combine their voltage output to produce 28V.
You also need a barcode on a battery plate. PAG will be providing these. along with a tool to allow you to properly position it.
Currently there are only 99Wh PAG CINERGY batteries, but the company will be making 150Wh versions as well.
Price & Availability
The 99Wh PAG CINERGY batteries will be available soon, but there is no confirmed pricing.
