Tilta is showing their new tripods at NAB 2024. We had a first look.
The new tripods come in two models. The CT08 features 8 stops of counterbalance with 4 stops of verticle and horizontal adjustments. and the The CT12 features 10 stops of counterbalance with 10 stops of verticle and horizontal adjustments with up to 17.5lb payloads. Both models have +90° / -60° tilt range.
Both fluid heads use the Manfrotto Quick Release type plate. However, the lighter CT08 is also compatible with DJI-Standard Arca-Swiss Quick Release Plates, eliminating the need for replacing quick-release plates when transitioning to gimbals and greatly improving efficiency.
3-stage telescopic legs with CT08 Head
This kit uses 3-stage telescopic legs that can adjust to different heights between 5.1” and 70.8″. Rubber spikes on the bottom of the tripod legs help protect delicate floors, and the legs can be adjusted to expose metal spikes, perfect for use outdoors on rough terrain such as mud, grass, sand, and ice.
The carbon fiber legs are constructed with a unique carbon fiber reinforced wrap and have a diameter of 36mm. This can support up to 110lbs, which is stronger than traditional carbon fiber processes.
The system is resistant to high and low temperatures, operating in a range between 140°F to -40°F, ensuring your tools will not slow you down in harsh environments.
The tripod head supports between 2.2 and 17.5 lbs, and the counterbalance has 8 levels of adjustment, supporting perfect balance for systems within the weight requirement.
The head features 4 levels of adjustable drag and 8 stops of counterbalance adjustments.
2-Stage One Touch Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs with CT12 Head
This kit uses 2-stage telescopic legs that can adjust to different heights with a single lock each leg. This ensures users will no longer need to lock and unlock each stage individually and allows for quick height adjustments between 5.1” and 70.8″.
The newly designed carbon fiber legs can bear up to 110lbs, with a minimum height of only 2.5ft and a maximum height of 5.4ft.
The unique carbon construction process enables the tripod to support heavier weights and offers more stability than those constructed with standard carbon fiber processes.
The legs can accommodate both 75mm and 100mm tripod heads via a removable adapter and features a plate buckle-style locking mid-level spreader for added stability.
The 2-Stage One Touch Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs with CT08 Head retails for $799 and the 2-Stage One Touch Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs and CT12 Head retails for $1,199. Both are available for preorder.
