Irix has announced that the highly anticipated Irix Cine 65mm T1.5 lens is almost ready for release and available for preorder. If you have been waiting to fill the gap, you can very soon. It is equipped with an external diameter of 95mm for matte boxes and accessories, a front Magnetic Mount System (MMS) for rapid filter and accessory changes, and an 86mm filter thread.
The Cine 65mm T1.5 lens is the seventh Cine Lens in the series that includes the following:

- 15mm T2.6
- 21mm T1.5
- 30mm T 1.5
- 45mm T1.5
- 65mm T1.5
- 150mm T3.0
The Lightweight and compact design of the Irix Cine Lenses, constructed from durable aluminum and magnesium alloy and weighing only around 1kg, makes them a good option for a lightweight setup.
