The Samsung T9 Portable SSDs deliver a sequential read speed of up to 2,000 MB/s, which is nearly double that of its predecessor, the T7. The sequential write speed is up to 1950 MB/s, while photographers will be happy to know that the sustained write speed is up to 1000 MB/s (after Turbowrite).
The T9 features a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 port, delivering up to 20 Gb/s of max throughput. When it comes to the design, the T9 has curved diagonal lines and reverse carbon patterns, which gives its rubber surface a more fabric-like feel and a soft touch. Add low idle power consumption and reliable durability.
Please note that to achieve maximum advertised speeds, please make sure your computer or host device is certified to support the 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 connection. Apple devices, including those with Thunderbolt/USB4, do not support 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 and will be limited to 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2.
