SIGMA has announced the 15mm F1.4 DG DN DIAGONAL FISHEYE | Art. According to SIGMA, the 15mm F1.4 DG DN DIAGONAL FISHEYE | Art is the world’s first full-frame F1.4 diagonal fisheye lens.
It has a 180° angle of view and a fast F1.4 aperture, making it suitable for a wide range of applications including astrophotography, landscapes, and architecture, as well as certain action sports.

SIGMA states that by using the latest optical design they can thoroughly correct each type of aberration and that the fisheye lens produces high resolution throughout the entire image even when used wide open.
The lens consists of 21 elements in 15 groups, including 4 FLD and 3 SLD exclusive low-dispersion glass elements, and 2 aspherical lens elements. There are 11 aperture blades.
The lens has physical dimensions of 104 x 157.9mm / 4.1 x 6.2″ and it weighs 1,360g / 48 oz. (including tripod foot).
The lens is equipped with an MFL switch. When the MFL switch is set to “LOCK,” the focus ring operation is disabled, ensuring that once focus is acquired, it will not be changed by unintentional movement of the ring.
The 15mm F1.4 DG DN DIAGONAL FISHEYE|Art is equipped with various functions to assist shooting, including an AFL button where a preferred function can be assigned. The lens features a dust and splash resistant structure.

The lens will be available from the 14th of March in Leica L-Mount, Sony E-Mount for $1,999 USD.
