GL Optics has announced its latest rehousing project, the Laowa 10mm f/3.1 LPL. It is being touted as the world’s first full frame 10mm lens with an LPL Mount.
The lens features a 130.4° field of view and zero distortion. The GL Optics rehousing gives it a 170° focus throw, a 95mm front diameter, and an LPL mount. It will cover VistaVision sensors.

The biggest selling point of the Laowa 10mm f/3.1 LPL is arguably its rectilinear ability, Being able to keep straight lines straight is what you ultimately want when shooting with a very wide angle lens.
GL Optics states that the lens has good edge-to-edge sharpness and it features a 15 blade iris and it has a minimum focusing distance of 4″ / 10.16cm.
