Samsung has new 990 EVO M.2 Internal SSDs that are available in 1TB and 2TB capacities. They were designed to be reliable, everyday SDD options for anyone creating content or playing video games.
The SSDs feature PCIe 4.0 x4- and PCIe 5.0 x2-compatible M.2 2280 slots. The NVMe 2.0 SSD delivers claimed speeds of up to 5000 MB/s sequential read and 4200 MB/s sequential write which is about 43% and 30% faster than the 970 EVO, respectively. It also claimed to have around 70% better power efficiency and features Modern Standby, allowing it to stay connected while in low-power mode.
