Czech Republic lighting company Quadralite has announced its new Thea 900 RGB PRO LED panel and LED RGB QLTP Pixel series.
The Thea 900 RGB PRO is an affordable RGB panel light with a claimed output of 3640 LUX. The LED RGB QLTP Pixel is an upgrade to the LED RGB QLT series and it features Pixel technology allowing for emitting different colors independently.
Thea 900 RGB PRO
The Thea 900 RGB PRO draws 120W and it can be powered via AC or from a V-mount battery using the integrated V-lock plate on the back. It is rather heavy at 3.7 kg / 8.15 lbs and it has physical dimensions of 64 cm x 40 cm x 7.7 cm.
As I mentioned earlier it has claimed output of 3640 LUX @1m / 3.3′.
Thea RGB PRO panel is equipped with an integrated diffusion panel that allows for basic light diffusion. For better dispersion, Quadralite has created a dedicated Thea Pro softbox. There are also optional Quadralite Thea Pro Barndoors available.
When using several compatible panels, it is possible to set one panel to the Master mode, and the others to the Slave mode, so that all panels will replicate the same values as the panel in the Master mode.
By using the Quadralite LED Light Controller app that is available for Android and iOS, it is possible to remotely control the panel and a group of panels.

LED RGB QLTP Pixel
The new LED RGB QLTP Pixel series has all the features of the existing QLT lamps, but with the ability to display multiple colors at one time. The Pixel technology allowes the user to create lighting effects such as pulsing, flickering or smooth color transitions, even at the level of individual pixels.
There are three different versions available in the series:
- LED Tube Pixel Light QLTP 28
- LED Tube Pixel Light QLTP 65 DMX
- LED Tube Pixel Light QLT 125 DMX
All three models feature inbuilt batteries and the QLTP 125 has a claimed brightness of 672 lx @1m / 3.3′.
The lights have a CCT range of 2800K and 8000K and a full range of RGB colors in HSI mode. They can also be controlled onboard, through an Android or iOS app or via DMX.
LED RGB QLTP Pixel series Key features
- Color temperature in the range of 2800-8000K
- Ability to display more than one color at the time
- Can be controlled via LCD panel, dedicated mobile app, DMX
- Smooth power regulation in the range from 0-100%
LED Tube Light RGB QLTP Pixel allows you to work in the full spectrum of RGB shades. This allows you to achieve interesting color effects without the need for gel filters. This limits the amount of equipment used, and also speeds up work on the set. In addition to CCT and HSL modes, the lamps have a GEL mode, which allows you to choose many popular colors of gel filters (blue, orange, cyan, green, yellow, red, magenta, pink, lavender).
QLTP Pixel light tubes can use programmed special effects. There are 10 modes available.
The QLTP series is equipped with PIXEL technology, which means that individual light points have the ability to emit different colors independently. Thanks to this, it is possible to create lighting effects such as pulsing, flickering or smooth color transitions, even at the level of individual pixels. Unlike older generation lamps, which were limited to uniform light, PIXEL technology allows for dynamic color change, enabling multiple colors to be displayed simultaneously.
Digital Multiplex Signal (DMX) connectivity is enabled by a mini XLR socket. The RGB QLTP Pixel 65 and 125 have an input and output which allows these lights to be used for events, stage performances, theatrical and professional film productions.
Quadralite LED Tube Light RGB QLTP Pixel can also work in combination with other lamps (up to 99), both in Slave and Master mode, in 99 different groups. The lamp can be controlled from the built-in panel or the dedicated Quadralite application.
The lamps have a 1/4″ tripod mount in the lower part that allows them to be mounted on a lighting or photo tripod, thanks to which work on the set will become even easier.
Included with the QLTP Pixel 65 and QLTP Pixel 125 lamps are handles. They use a 3/8″ mount and magnets that allow you to work in any space.
The QLTP Pixel 28 also has two magnets that can be connected to the lamp in specially created spaces.
