The Monitor Hinges for SmallHD Smart 5 Monitors is a new collection of accessories for mounting your Smart 5 monitor in a variety of different ways depending on your requirements.
The Monitor Hinges allow for 180 degrees of movement and a lot of times when using a monitor that is affixed to a camera that is all you really need. If you don’t want to deal with clumsy monitor arms and be constantly loosening, adjusting, and tightening them off, these Wooden Camera solutions look like a good alternative.

Monitor Hinge (SmallHD Smart 5, 3/8″-16) $85 USD
The Monitor Hinge (SmallHD Smart 5, 3/8″-16) is a tilting hinge for mounting on-camera monitors to any 3/8″-16 mounting point with ARRI-standard locating pins. It was designed with a 180-degree tilt for shifting viewing angles.
The upper attachment features a 1/4”-20 screw with standard locating pins for SmallHD monitors and includes an additional rubber pad for attaching third-party monitors. The included 15mm mounting spud allows for upper attachment to be quick released and mounted onto any 15mm rod clamp. This hinge was specifically designed to align perfectly with the pinholes with any of the SmallHD Smart 5 Monitors.

Monitor Hinge Replacement Arm (SmallHD Smart 5) $85 USD
The Monitor Hinge Replacement Arm (SmallHD Smart 5) allows you to mount any of SmallHD’s Smart 5 monitors on the opposite side of the pivot that is included with the Monitor Hinge (Smart 5 – ARCA, ⅜”-16 and Canon C Series).
It features a ¼”-20 screw with standard locating pins for SmallHD monitors and includes an additional rubber pad for attaching third-party monitors. This hinge was specifically designed to align perfectly with the pinholes with any of the SmallHD Smart 5 Monitors.

The Monitor Hinge (SmallHD Smart 5, Canon C Series Cameras) is a tilting hinge for mounting on-camera monitors to the Canon EOS C70. It was designed with a 180-degree tilt for shifting viewing angles.
The lower mount features interlocking ridges with an integrated ¼”-20 screw for compatible mounting with any standard Canon Accessory Mount, including the Canon C70 hot shoe, Top Handle (Canon C70), and Top Plate (Canon C70).
The upper attachment features a ¼”-20 screw with standard locating pins for SmallHD monitors and includes an additional rubber pad for attaching third-party monitors. This hinge was specifically designed to align perfectly with the pinholes with any of the SmallHD Smart 5 Monitors.

The Monitor Hinge (ARCA Swiss) can attach into an ARCA dovetail like the one found on a RED KOMODO Top mount (sold separately). When combined with the KOMODO Top Mount, the system provides a direct ¼”-20 mount for SmallHD monitors.
The included rubber pad can be added for attaching third-party monitors. A 15mm mounting spud is included and allows the monitor arm to be quickly released and attached to a Top Handle (ARCA Swiss) (sold separately). This hinge was specifically designed to align perfectly with the pinholes with any of the SmallHD Smart 5 Monitors.
