Anton Bauer has released VCLX NM2 Firmware V2.0. This firmware update significantly reduces charging time. You can now fully charge the VCLX NM2 in 3.5 hours, whereas previously it took 5.5 hours.
With this update, the VCLX NM2 is now the fastest-charging floor battery in the industry. Floor batteries like this are great options because they use Nickel-Metal Hydride instead of Lithium-ion so they are travel friendly.
The new firmware update also brings an improved user interface. Anton Bauer states that navigating the on-screen options and settings is now more intuitive and user-friendly.
If you are not familiar with the VCLX NM2, it is a multi-cell NiMH VCLX NM2 battery station that provides multiple outputs to charge your gear, including a dual-voltage 28V/16A or 48V/12A 3-pin XLR, two 14.4V/12A 4-pin XLR outputs, and a 5V USB output. The included charger ( if you buy the Anton/Bauer VCLX NM2 Package) mounts onto the side of the VCLX NM2 and connects to its power input via the included 3-pin charging cable.
