The price of budget-orientated on-camera monitors continues to get lower and lower. The new OSEE T5+ 5.5″ High-Bright UHD 4K HDMI On-Camera Monitor Kit follows that trend and retails for only $145 USD.
Yes, a lot of budget monitors have OS systems and quirks that leave a lot to be desired, but they are still capable of providing a decent image.

The T5+ 5.5″ High-Bright UHD 4K HDMI On-Camera Monitor Kit from OSEE is claimed to be a lightweight, HDR-compatible (well, not really), 5.5″ monitor that supports up to UHD 4K30 video.
The 5/5″ 1920×1080 screen has a claimed brightness of 1000 cd/m² brightness and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 contrast. The PPI is 400 and it has built-in LUTs for ARRI Log C, Canon Log, FUJIFILM F-Log, HDR-HLG, HDR-PQ, JVC J-Log, Nikon N-Log, Panasonic V-Log, RED IPP2, and Sony S-Log.
What is interesting is that OSEE states that the screen covers 100% of DCI-P3, which is impressive for a monitor at this price.
The monitor weighs just 6.2 oz / 175 g.
There is a five-direction joystick control to access the OSEE MON OS page-style user interface and the usual array of monitoring assist tools such as focus peaking, histogram, waveform, and vectorscope.
The monitor supports signals of up to UHD 4K30 via HDMI. As far as power is concerned you can run the monitor via the in-built LP-E6, L-Series battery plate, or from the USB-C DC input. There is also a barrel (8.4 VDC) output, a headphone jack, and an SD card slot.
