IRIX has announced that their 15mm f/2.4 and 150mm f/2.8 lenses will be available in Sony E-mount. These new Irix lenses are redesigned versions of older versions that were made for DSLR cameras. These latest versions, designed for Sony mirrorless cameras, are claimed to feature an improved design, with the newly added aperture ring and lens housing.
The lens housings are made of magnesium aluminum alloy combined with a high-quality composite. This ensures durability and resistance to weather conditions, with the added benefit of keeping the weight to a minimum.
Both lenses feature a Click / Declick switch that allows users to choose between gradual and smooth iris ring operations.
