PlatePros is a production services company specializing in 360-degree moving environments for film and TV. They also have a new stock footage product that can be licensed per project.
All of thier web preview files are low-resolution proxies with a quick and dirty geometric stitch. Actual purchased files are delivered as 12K ProRes 4:2:2 Equirectangular format with a robust stitch, an example of this quality of their stitch can be seen in the sample above.
Much of their footage is used in driving sequences shot on a green screen or LED stage. They have worked on big productions such as Creed II, Joker, and Stranger Things, to name a few.
One of the rigs they showed at Cine Gear is an array of 17 Lumix BGH1 cameras in two rows of eight, with one on top. The interesting set is the rows have different exposure values, so they can get an HDR image for more versatility when shooting in changing lighting conditions.
PlatePros has crews in New York and LA areas that can provide video production services with these rigs.
