Saturation is a new filmmaking app created by Jens Jacob. Saturation was designed to be an all-in-one financial management platform for production and it is designed for a variety of projects, from films, TV shows, events, and commercials, to photoshoots and music videos.

Jens Jacob has over 12 years of experience as a film & event producer and the reason he created saturation is because he faced challenges using outdated tools and systems in the production industries.
Jens always thought “they” would come up with a new tool (whoever “they” were), however, he got tired of waiting and started to ideate and design his own, which resulted in the birth of Saturation, a design-focused, intuitive solution for indie filmmakers, producers & production companies of all levels.
Jens believes in making tools accessible for everyone, especially those starting out, and like himself, without a formal film school background. What sets Saturation apart is its accessibility. The company offers a free version, with the aim of empowering filmmakers just starting out or those with smaller budgets. This approach promotes inclusivity and learning within the film community.

Saturation was designed to feature an intuitive user experience and it allows for seamless collaboration and efficient budget creation. You can compare financials, and make adjustments on-the-fly to stay on track of everything as well as tag and categorize transactions.
Saturation is reasonably plug and play and you can utilize templates built from industry standards.
You can also compare your actuals and budget side-by-side, in real-time.
Another feature of Saturation is that you can sync it with banks and credit cards for automated financial tracking and reduced manual input.
Saturation also has the ability to be used and shared between laptops/desktops and mobile devices.
Price & Availability
As I mentioned earlier there is a free version available, but it only allows you to have one project and a maximum of 1,000 account items. In saying that, if you are just an individual and you are working on small projects, this may be perfectly fine for your needs.
The Producer option is $20 USD / per month and it comes with a 100GB of storage and the ability to create unlimited projects. The Production option is $54 USD / per month and it essentially allows three different people to use the software at once. You also get 1TB of storage and workflow collaboration.
