The RGB voice U502 5.5″ Touchscreen High-Bright On-Camera Monitor is an entry-level 1920 x 1080 resolution monitor with a claimed brightness of 2800 cd/m², a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and a PPI of 400.
I have never heard of RGB voice before and the first time I saw the name I thought maybe they have some type of voice-activated monitor, but alas, it is just a name. RGBVOICE TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD, mostly makes wireless microphones, and BT headphones.

The biggest selling point is bound to be the 2800 cd/m² of brightness which is normally hard to find in monitors that are under $300 USD. The only other monitors that I am personally aware of that retail for less than $300 USD that have a brightness of over 2800 cd/m² are the Desview R6 UHB 5.5” 2800 cd/m² Ultra High-Brightness Touchscreen Monitor and the Desview V5 5.5” 4K/Full HD HDMI Recording Monitor.
Along with the 2800 cd/m² of brightness, the RGB voice U502 features a brightness opto-sensor that will auto-adjust the brightness settings of the monitor based on the environment you are in.
The monitor supports HDMI input signals up to DCI 4K24 and provides an HDMI output for connecting to wireless transmitters, larger monitors, and other devices. You can also upload 3D LUTs via an SD card slot.
The RGB voice U502 features the usual array of monitoring assist tools such as waveform, histogram, peaking, anamorphic de-squeeze, etc.
As this is a touchscreen monitor you can easily access the menu system by swiping and selecting what you want to activate or adjust. It also has the usual pinch to zoom.
You can power the monitor via the 12 VDC input or by attaching an L-series or LP-E6 battery. An 8 VDC output allows you to connect optional dummy battery cables to power your camera or an accessory.
There is a single 1/4″-20 mounting thread on the bottom, and there’s also a headphone jack.
Price & Availability
The RGB voice U502 5.5″ Touchscreen High-Bright On-Camera Monitor is now available to pre-order for $289 USD. While this is a reasonable price for a 2800 cd/m² monitor, it is HDMI only and it doesn’t offer anything unique or interesting that no one else is doing.
