MUTINY has announced a new DeWalt “MAX” 20/18V adapter plate for Battery IO for the RED KOMODO. This was specifically made for those KOMODO owners who go off the grid and into remote locations where there are no rental houses for hundreds of miles.
The DeWalt “MAX” features a D-Tap on the right side and a 2Pin OB on the left side. The “MAX” plate is regulated at 12V and has a max current draw of 10A. It is important to note that the DeWalt MAX battery plate option shows as 12V vs 16.8v on the Battery IO voltage meter when fully charged.
A 15Ah DeWalt MAX/Flex battery is 180 watt hours which will power the KOMODO for approx 4.8 hours. A 5Ah DeWalt battery gets you around 1.6 hours of use, and a 3Ah battery about 1 hour. These run times will be reduced although this run time will be reduced if you are running additional accessories off the camera
MUTINY states that the bottom D-Tap may be obstructed when using SDI cables unless used with the optional vertical adapter plate.

The DeWalt MAX mount retails for $210.00 USD and it is now available to order.
