Vocas has introduced a new Universal Sliding Top Handle System that was designed with the intended purpose of allowing users to position the top handle in the correct position so they can obtain a nice balance.
Universal Sliding Top Handle
The unique sliding mechanism allows camera operators to adjust the position of the Top Handle along the length of the camera, so it is always well-balanced regardless of the weight distribution on the front and rear of their setup.
Another benefit is that it does not matter how you slide the Top Handle onto the Top Plate. The Handle can be slid onto the plate so you can have it either pointing in a forward or backward direction.
The handgrip of the Handle is made from walnut. Wooden handles and grips tend to offer a more ergonomic feel and that is why a lot of people prefer them. The other parts of the Top Handle are made out of Aluminum and stainless steel.
The Handle is also equipped with a lot of 1/4″ and 3/8″ threaded holes for mounting accessories.
Together with the Universal Sliding Top Handle, Vocas has also created a number of compatible accessories to extend the length or to mount on top of the Top Handle.
NATO rail short for 1/4″ holes
The NATO rail short for 1/4″ holes is a 60 mm long) attachment point for anything that clamps onto NATO rails. It can be mounted onto any ¼” industry standard hole.
50 mm Extender for ⅜” holes
The 50 mm Extender for ⅜” holes can be used on the front, top, side or rear of the Sliding Top Handle. It attaches directly to any ⅜” industry standard hole.
19 mm Rail Holder for ⅜” holes
The 19 mm Rail Holder for ⅜” holes can be used on the front, top, side, or rear of the Sliding Top Handle and it attaches directly to any ⅜” industry standard hole.
15 mm Rail holder for ⅜” holes
The 15 mm Rail holder for ⅜” holes can be used on the front, top, side or rear of the Sliding Top Handle. Attaches directly to any ⅜” industry standard hole.
Cold shoe for ¼” holes
The Cold shoe for ¼” holes can be mounted onto any ¼” industry standard hole.
