The DJI O3 Air Unit allows you to modify your drone and experience the realism and immersion of FPV piloting. Essentially, this is a camera and a TX unit that your mount onto your drone that enables you to fly from an FPV perspective.
The camera and transmission module work together with DJI’s O3+ video transmission technology to stream 1080p H.265 video back to your compatible DJI goggles (not included) from up to 6.2 miles away.
The air unit is claimed to ensure a stable video signal thanks to frequency auto-switching and 2T2R omnidirectional antennas. The camera can also shoot up to 4K60 fps footage and store it on the air unit’s built-in 20GB memory.
The DJI O3 Air Unit camera features a 1/1.7″ sensor with a super-wide 155° FOV. The latency is claimed to be just 30ms and the maximum bitrate you can record is 50 Mb/s.
The camera module including the Air Unit weighs approx. 36.4 g and it has physical dimensions of 21.2×20×19.5 mm.
The camera also supports optional DJI Avata ND filters so that you can adjust exposure.
