The Laowa 65mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine (S35) and 100mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine (FF) are claimed to be the first-ever cine lenses with 2X magnification.
These two new lenses offer up to 2X magnification to allow cinematographers better flexibility in shooting subjects of different sizes. Both lenses are based on stills lenses, they have just been turned into more cine friendly versions.
The minimum focusing distance of 65mm is 17cm (6.69″) and 24.7cm (9.7″) for the 100mm when shooting 2X macro.
The Laowa 65mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine (Super 35) is available in Fujifilm X / Sony E/ / Nikon Z / Canon EF-M mounts. The Laowa 100mm T2.9 2X Ultra Macro APO Cine (Full Frame) is available in PL / Sony E / Canon EF / Canon RF / L mounts.
With an APO design, the lenses are claimed to render quality images without chromatic aberration. The 65mm is equipped with a 9-blade diaphragm and 100mm features a 13-blade iris.
Both the 65mm and the 100mm have a T2.9 aperture and the focusing ring and step-less aperture ring both feature standard 0.8 mod gears. Both lenses can also take 77mm front filter threads so you can choose between screw-in filters or using matte boxes.
The Laowa 65mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine (S35) weighs 550g and the 100mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine (FF) weighs 957g.

Both lenses come with a protective case and shims with different thicknesses are also included for users to do flange calibration.
