The Laowa 10mm f/4 Cookie Lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras is a tiny and compact ultra-wide that is 2.5cm / 0.8″ long and it weighs just 130g / 4.59oz.
According to Laowa, this Cookie Lens is equipped with a high-performance optical design and it has excellent control of optical distortion. The horizontal and vertical straight lines are said to be retained from corner to corner. The optical design of the lens consists of 12 elements in 8 groups with 2 aspherical and 4 extra-low dispersion elements. It also has 5 aperture blades. Laowa also claims that chromatic aberration, flaring, and ghosting effects have been minimized.
The minimum focusing distance is 10cm / 3.93oz, which allows you to get nice and close to your subject. The lens has a very small 37mm filter thread.
The Lens is available in black and silver versions and in Canon RF, Nikon Z, Sony E, Panasonic/Leica L mount, and Fuji X.
This lens would probably make for a good option if you were using a lightweight gimbal and wanted to capture a wide field of view.
