Accsoon has announced its new CineView Quad SDI/HDMI wireless video transmission system. The CineView Quad is different from other budget Accsoon offerings as it features Dual Band wireless capabilities.
Accsoon is touting the CineView Quad as being the ultimate affordable HDMI and SDI wireless video transmitter and receiver set. The CineView Quad has both HDMI and SDI ports, a reasonably compact size, and a good feature set.
Both the CineView Quad TX and RX units feature four integrated antennas that can be folded back into the body when not in use. This newly integrated quad antenna design allows the CineView Quad to use Accsoon’s patented Dual Band wireless technology for the first time in a system at this price point. Unlike other competing systems, Accsoon transmits two identical copies of your camera’s video output on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies at the same time. When these signals arrive at the RX unit they are instantly combined as needed to create the final video feed. Because CineView Quad utilizes both frequencies at the same time it is claimed to be inherently more stable than its rivals.
The CineView Quad uses an all-new version of the computing platform from the CineEye series. According to Accsoon, this allows the system to be even faster, smaller and cooler running than previous budget offerings. Accsoon also claims that it has a best-in-class transmission latency of less than 60ms.
The CineView Quad system can be powered via Sony NP-F type batteries or via the DC ports.
Both the TX and RX are constructed of rugged lightweight aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. The design is fanless so it can be used in quiet environments. The units can be mounted via 1/4 thread and a cold shoe mount that comes with the kit.
The operating range of the CineView Quad is claimed to be up to 500ft / 150m. This type of range would make it suitable for a wide range of productions ranging from corporate productions and indie films, through to live events and houses of worship.
The CineView Quad not only transmits from the TX to the RX unit, but you can also use up to four receiving devices at the same time in any combination with the same CineView Quad transmitter. Another nice feature is that you can also connect your choice of CineView receivers and iOS/Android devices using the Accsoon Go app all at once. This allows multiple people to view images without having to give everyone a monitor and an RX unit.
The free Accsoon Go iOS and Android app offers a huge range of monitoring and recording features such as Focus Peaking, Histogram, False Color, viewing with 3D LUTs and HD recording. A new feature will even allow recording of the image with a LUT applied.
