The USC School of Cinematic Arts has partnered up with Sony to support young aspiring filmmakers. USC has one of the most recognized and prestigious Cinematic Arts programs anywhere in the world.
Former USC alumni include George Lucas, Ron Howard, Robert Zemeckis, John Singleton, Jason Reitman, John Carpenter, and Jeff Cronenweth, just to name a few.
USC’s School of Cinematic Arts will be adding the VENICE 2, FX9, FX6, and Sony alpha mirrorless cameras to its course curriculum. Sony will also be supplying pro audio, high-resolution displays, and access to cloud services.
This upcoming summer, USC will also be adding a Sony Virtual Production studio featuring Sony’s latest Crystal LED B series. By Fall 2022, students will be able to learn how to work in a virtual production landscape.
In addition to supplying all of this equipment, Sony has also donated two million dollars (USD) to supplement this new partnership.
