The Lilliput Q7-12G 7″ HD 12G-SDI/HDMI 2.0 Ultra-Bright On-Camera Monitor is a bit of a rarity these days. We don’t tend to see many mid-tier 7″ monitors anymore, as the market is flooded with cheap options that are available for just a few hundred dollars.

The Q7-12G 7″ HD 12G-SDI/HDMI 2.0 Ultra-Bright On-Camera Monitor features a 7.0″ / 17.8 cm, 1920 x 1200, IPS-Type LCD screen with 2000 cd/m2 of brightness and a claimed contrast ratio of 1200:1

The Q7-12G monitor supports up to 4K DCI 60p through both SDI and HDMI. As it has dual 12G-SDI inputs and outputs you can do picture-in-picture (PiP) viewing for two cameras or other sources. It also has the ability to use 3D LUTs and display high dynamic range (HDR) video. As you would expect there is a large array of video assist monitoring tools.

It also has Log support for ARRI, Canon, JVC, Nikon, and Sony cameras and there are 17 built-in LUTs with 17 default Log and 6 user Log choices available.

The monitor can be powered via a detachable Sony L-series battery plate that mounts to a 75mm VESA mount.

The Q7-12G weighs 1.7 lb / 785 g and features an aluminum shell.

The Lilliput Q7-12G 7″ HD 12G-SDI/HDMI 2.0 Ultra-Bright On-Camera Monitor retails for $899 USD. At this price it might be a tough sell, especially considering that you could buy a Blackmagic Design Video Assist 7″ 12G-SDI/HDMI HDR Recording Monitor for $995 USD.
