The Elvid FieldVision 10.1″ LCD On-Camera Monitor is a medium-sized, budget-friendly solution if you are looking for something that is a little larger than 7″.
There is a plethora of 5″ and 7″ monitors on the market, but I personally haven’t come across a 10″ solution before. Elvid is touting this as an On-Camera monitor, however, at 10″ it isn’t going to be suitable for use on mirrorless hybrids or small to mid-sized digital cinema cameras.

The Elvid FieldVision 10.1″ LCD On-Camera Monitor features a 10.1″ / 25.7 cm 8-bit 1920 × 1200 IPS LCD Screen. The brightness of the screen is only 350 cd/m2 and it has a claimed contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a PPI of 224.
The monitor tips the scales at 19.4 oz / 550 g which makes it incredibly lightweight given its size. There is an HDMI In and an HDMI Out so you can input and output the same signal. It accepts signals up to UHD 4K (3840 × 2160) and DCI 4K (4096 × 2160), as well as a VGA input to accept computer resolutions up to 1920 x 1080.
There are two programmable function buttons as well as the usual array of video assist tools that you see on most monitors.
The Elvid FieldVision 10.1″ LCD On-Camera Monitor can be run via AC or DC power and it only draws 12W. The monitor runs on a Sony NP-F battery or you can use the included power adapter.
The monitor has 1/4″-20 sockets on all four sides for mounting and it comes with an included shoe mount ball head
Elvid also includes a sun hood that attaches to a mounting frame. This is something you are certainly going to have to use outdoors given the monitor’s low level of brightness.
Price & Availability
The Elvid FieldVision 10.1″ LCD On-Camera Monitor retails for just $349 USD and it is now available to purchase.
I wouldn’t expect this to be a great monitor given its price, but if you just need something for indoor use then it may be worth looking at.
