The Top Crane’s Ghost One is being touted as the first 20-foot universal remote arm, on the market. It features an impressive 80 lb /36.29 kg
payload capacity.
It is compatible with Shotover G1, B1, M1, Movi XL, and Pro, DJI Ronin 2, Arri SRH-3, Arri Trinity, Flight head mini and compact, Opertech Milli, and the GSS Mini. It can be used on vehicles at over 100mph+.
The Ghost One was designed to be powerful and durable, yet lightweight and mobile. It ships in five flight cases and can be assembled in under an hour. It can be mounted on nearly anything with four wheels or a rudder.
There are a lot of remote car arms on the market, so what makes the Ghost One different from alternates out there? Well, if you compare it to something like a Russian Arm platform it is half the weight and claimed to be twice as nimble while still remaining 15ft in short mode. 15ft is around 1ft foot longer than many of the original Russian Arms. Top Cranes has also placed a lot of focus on the performance of the Ghost One. It has been mounted lower in the crane’s chassis than many of its traditional counterparts to help improve the center of gravity and thus improve performance.
Top Cranes states that the Ghost One is the only universal remote arm with a Phantom Stabilization Algorithm and a twin gyro-driven motor feedback system that does thousands of counter calculations per second. All of this works in tandem with Ghost One’s hinged tail that flexes independently of its boom, allowing the vehicle to traverse jarring situations without transferring shake down the arm.
Ghost One’s modular 15 and 20-foot boom allows for a lot of flexibility. You can use the short mode for close-quarter dynamics and the long mode for all the reach you may need for stunts and big reveals.
The Arm is operated by a small footprint joystick and the video signal can either be run by a single cable from the camera or down the arm into the car using any video wireless system.
The whole system has been specifically built for use in silt beds, sand dunes, rainstorms, blizzards, race tracks, and most other environments that you think of.
Ghost One is made in the USA. It is one hundred percent laser cut and CNC milled, and it is made out of aerospace-grade, aluminum, carbon fiber, and
Kevlar. It is also assembled, and quality checked in California by professionals who have decades of experience in the film business.
