I wrote about the original 1/4″ 20 Sprig. Since then, they have released not only 7 new color versions. They also released a heavy-duty Big Sprig 3/8″ 16 version and, of course, available in seven colors that include red, blue, yellow, green, orange, pink, and glow-in-the-dark. Different colors are great for identifying A/B/C cam, customizing rigs with brand or team colors, or making Sprigs easier to spot on a dark camera or AC cart.
The idea is simple. The new Sprig is designed to fit into a 3/8″ 16 threaded hole. They feel to be more rigid than the 1/4″ 20 to help secure and fasten larger cables or add more thin cables to one mounting point as they are also larger in size than the original.
They can be screwed in and out, but also tugged out and won’t damage the teeth on Sprig.
3/8″-16 Sprig Pack
- Includes 3 Big Sprigs
- Single Big Sprig dimensions and weight — 33.5mm x 22.5mm x 20.1mm // 4.1g
- Threaded Fastener Size — 3/8″-16

I like Sprig a lot as they are super easy to use and keep the cables on a rig nice and clean. Now you can use those larger 3/8″ 16 taps too. The little things in life can make the biggest difference, and Sprig is one of those.
Sprig retails for $18 and includes 3 sprigs per bag. Now available directly through www.getsprig.co and a growing number of shops around the world.
