The PF120 uses a Sony Exmor R Back Illuminated sensor & 20x zoom lens. It uses BirdDog’s custom silicon NDI implementation with simultaneous NDI & HDMI output.
A USB UVC connector lets you use it without requiring a separate interface with, making it compatible with Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex, BlueJeans, Barco ClickShare, and any application that supports USB UVC.
On the front of the PF120 is a large Tally light that works when connected to an NDI production switcher, or any NDI software that supports NDI Tally.
You can also attach filters using the 49mm screw-on thread.
PF120 also features BirdDog’s Colour Matrix tools which can be controlled remotely by Cam Control, a free application that can be downloaded from BirdDog’s website. There are 64 positions of Hue and Saturation for Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. Additional to the Colour Matrix is Kelvin Control.
We couldn’t be more excited about the PF120 and our first foray into a new category, We think the PF120 is a great option for fixed camera installations as it can be controlled over a single network cable for Video, Audio, Power, and Remote Shading.
Dan Miall, BirdDog Co-Founder and CEO.
PF120 is housed in a full metal enclosure and has standard ¼-20” and 3-8” tripod mounts, as well as an anti-rotation guide hole. There is a locking power supply connector, and PF120 includes a PSU with global connectors for when not using PoE+. There are also 3.5mm audio inputs and outputs.
