Tilta has announced new cages and accessories for the Panasonic BGH1. The BGH1 is essentially a small cube that really requires you to build it up to make it functional. It is the exact type of camera that requires a cage.
Tilta has a few different cage configurations to choose from.
Full Camera Cage for Panasonic BGH1
The Full Camera Cage provides a protective shell for the Panasonic BGH1. There are several 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 mounting points for mounting accessories. It also includes two rosettes as well as NATO rail receivers on each side as well as a cold shoe mount on top.
The base of the cage also provides several mounting holes when attaching your camera to gimbals to more easily fine-tune the balance of your setup.
A variety of different baseplates can be attached to the bottom of the cage, allowing for various rod mounting and optional power supply configurations.
The cage weighs in at 230g and is made of aluminum alloy.
There is also an optional quick-release top handle, adjustable quick-release top handle, and various optional side handles.
Tiltaing Panasonic BGH1 Kit C
The Tiltaing Panasonic BGH1 Kit C is the most comprehensive of all of the options available for the BGH1. It is based around the Full Camera Cage, but it adds a host of accessories.
This kit includes the base Panasonic BGH1 cage, a lightweight quick release top handle, Arca and Manfrotto quick release baseplates, an adjustable cold shoe accessory mounting bracket, an HDMI male to female adapter cable, an attachment to secure the HDMI cable tightly to your cage, a 15mm LWS baseplate for mounting accessories (as well as 15mm rods for the plate), a single 15mm rod holder that attaches directly to the cage, an EF mount lens adapter support, and finally the Tiltaing Right Side Advanced Focus Handle (F570 Battery) along with the compatible Panasonic R/S cable for the Nucleus Nano. Please note this kit does not come with the Nucleus nano.
Tiltaing Panasonic BGH1 Kit A
Again the Panasonic BGH1 Kit A is based around the Full Camera Cage.
This kit includes the base Panasonic BGH1 cage, a right-side wooden handle (as well as the attachment that’s needed for the handle to be compatible with the BGH1 cage), Arca and Manfrotto quick release baseplates, as well as an adjustable cold shoe accessory mounting bracket.
Tiltaing Panasonic BGH1 Kit B
The Tiltaing Panasonic BGH1 Kit B consists of the following items:
- Base Panasonic BGH1 cage
- Lightweight quick release top handle
- Arca and Manfrotto quick release baseplates, an adjustable cold shoe accessory mounting bracket
