Core SWX has introduced the new CXA-KOMU 3-Stud Plate for the RED Komodo. It joins the CXV-KOMU V-mount plate which has been available for a few months.
The CXA-KOMU is a BP to 3-stud plate direct mount specifically designed for the RED Komodo camera, allowing for the use of 14.4V 3-stud batteries.
The adapter plate maintains access to the DC input for AC power and battery hot-swap.
If you are using a compatible battery that passes SMBUS data, the camera will read battery percentage and runtime, providing accurate remaining battery capacity info.
The adapter plate has three DC ports. A P-Tap, 2-pin Lemo & USB port can be used to power other accessories. The P-Tap & 2-pin Lemo can both provide DC 11.9-17v, unregulated.

RED Approved
Both the V-Mount & 3-Stud battery plates have received the RED Approval which requires compatibility testing by the team at RED.
