MTF Services is now offering RF mount conversions for Fujinon MK cine zooms. The conversion allows the MK 18-55mm T2.9 and MK 50-135mm T2.9 to be used on the RED Komodo and Canon C70.
MTF Services now joins Duclos Lenses in offering the Fujinon MK RF mount conversion.
MTF Services has worked closely with Fujinon to ensure compatibility and guarantee the quality of the conversion. The three-part conversion kit can be purchased from the MTF services web store. It should be installed by an authorised engineer and it is fully reversible, although continual exchanging of mounts by the end user is not recommended. The standard backfocus adjustment the lenses have is still possible after conversion, as is use of the macro mode.
Coverage
The MTF services converted Fujinon MK cine lenses fully cover the Super35 sensor area in 16×9 on both the RED Komodo and Canon C70. The MK 50-135mm T2.9 also fully covers the wider 17:9 (open gate) mode of the RED Komodo at all focal lengths and T stops. The MK 18-55mm T2.9 covers the Komodo 17:9 mode at wider apertures but exhibits some corner shading at its widest end from 20mm to 18mm when stopped down. From 21mm up it fully covers the sensor area.
The kit consists of:
- Replacement collar
- MTF stainless steel RF mount
- Light baffle
- Fixing screws
- Rear lens cap
