Cartoni has unveiled new PTZ camera support options. These were created, in part, to meet the continuing demand for remote video production.
Cartoni has three new solutions available.
With COVID-19 still effecting the film and TV industry across the globe, the need for remote video production and automated image gathering due to social distancing and reduced crew sizes has forced manufacturers to meet this demand.
Remote studio video production is now relying more and more on the use of PTZ cameras. While the latest generation of PTZ cameras can capture high-quality video, these cameras have traditionally lacked camera supports. This forced users to mount them on walls, ceilings, or use expensive camera supports meant for large cameras. To make things easier and more affordable, Cartoni has come up with a new range of camera supports that have been specifically designed for PTZ cameras.
So let’s have a look at the three new solutions.
Lightweight Tripod/Dolly
This solution pairs a lightweight Cartoni tripod equipped with a half-ball camera attachment for easy attachment of a PTZ camera. The entire set-up rests on a lightweight dolly, which allows studios to transport and move their PTZ setup easily. This set-up comes equipped with a mid-level spreader.

Lightweight PTZ Stand
The PTZ stand is a lightweight and versatile solution. It features a telescopic three-stage stand complete with a PTZ ball joint. This lightweight PTZ stand is also equipped with a quick-release sliding plate that allows users to attach and center a PTZ camera quickly.
The stand also comes with rubber feet, which can be used alone or can be installed on Cartoni’s lightweight dolly.

P20 /PTZ pedestal
The P20 pedestal with PTZ attachment allows camera operators to use PTZ cameras when very high positioning is required. It features a vertical gliding movement of 40 cm stroke, and precise traveling ability on even floors.
It is equipped with a flat 3/8, ¼” camera attachment, the P20/ PTZ pedestal enables the PTZ camera to be assisted by a teleprompter, making it a good solution in newsrooms.
