Meyer Optik Görlitz has a new Lydith 30 f3.5 II lens that covers full-frame sized sensors. This is a lightweight, compact manual focus lens.

It is available in Canon EF, Fuji X, Leica L, Leica M, M42, MFT, Nikon F, Pentax K, and Sony E mounts.

The new Lydith 30 f3.5 II has undergone a complete mechanical redesign. There are no surprises here as the original Lydith 30 f3.5 lens was made way back in 1964. Handling and mechanics have been improved while the compact construction and size are still an ode to the original lens.

Meyer Optik Görlitz claims that optical improvements include better sharpness over the entire image, as well as faithful color reproduction.

It has front filter diameter of 52mm and a close focus ability of just 15cm (5.9″).

The company claims that the lens can produce a 3d-like effect. They go on to say that ‘The object focused in the foreground almost jumps out of the watercolor-like bokeh in the background.’

The 30mm focal length makes it suitable for landscape or city photography, however, due to its close focus ability of just 15cm, it is ideal for macro shots as well.
