Wooden Camera announced the Shoulder Rig v3 back at NAB 2019 in April and they are now ready to ship.
The updates include telescopic arms, additional arm rotation points to widen or narrow grip spacing, larger and more durable shoulder pad, and an integrated kickstand for setting the rig down
The shoulder pad has been made larger and now has a kickstand to set the camera down.
The quick release shoulder rig is based on ARRI standard dovetail and rosettes so you can mount your camera using any ARRI standard dovetail bridgeplate or baseplate.
The Crossbar uses an integrated NATO standard rail to be adjusted left & right to get the correct balance for the camera. It also has tapped holes to mount other accessories like an articulating arm. Each end has a safety pin to prevent the Crossbar from sliding out accidentally.
On the Pro model, instead of fixed rosette mounts, each end of the Crossbar has a pivoting ARRI rosette which can rotate 360-degrees to position the handgrips in a more comfortable and ergonomic position. In addition to the pivoting mounts, the Pro model also includes two Telescopic Rosette arms so you can extend the grips lower to suit.
The Shoulder Rig v3 is available in a Base model for $499 USD and a Pro model for $995 USD. You can choose between rubber or leather handgrips.
