SmallRig Quick Release Clamp for Nucleus-Nano Hand Wheel Controller

SmallRig has announced a new Quick Release Clamp for the Tilta Nucleus-Nano Hand Wheel Controller.

We previously reviewed Tilta’s Nucleus Nano system and one of the complaints Erik had was that the Hand Wheel Controller was difficult to hold onto and mount. While the Hand Controller Wheel does have an in-built rosette plate, that doesn’t necessarily suit everyone’s needs.

This new solution from SmallRig looks like a good option, especially if you want to place the hand controller on a gimbal or camera cage.

The SmallRig Quick Release Mounting Clamp for the Tilta Nucleus-Nano Handwheel has been designed to allow you to attach the handwheel controller to gimbals and any other camera equipment that has a 1/4”-20, 3/8”-16, or m4 threaded holes.

For use on gimbals, it attaches to the DJI Ronin-S directly via two m4 screws. To attach it to the Zhiyun Crane 2 you will also need the Rod Clamp for Zhiyun Crane2/Crane v2. For the Moza Air 2 you will also need the Mounting Plate for Moza Air 2 Gimbal. It can also be attached to the Tilta G2X Gimbal via an m6 screw.

The quick release mounting clamp features a lever and installation marks to prevent any error when installing. The adapter has a safety mechanism to prevent the handwheel from accidentally sliding off.
