At the Steve Jobs Theatre, Apple announced a tv, news & magazine subscription services as well as their upcoming streaming service, Apple TV+ which will be coming this Fall.
Apple has a number of stand out creative minds behind some of the original content including J.J. Abrams, Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, M. Night Shyamalan and more. Apple also has Oprah creating two new documentaries to try and attract subscribers.
Apple TV+ will be available exclusively on the Apple TV app. This will not only be limited to Apple devices. Samsung already has an Apple TV app ready to go in their TVs.
With plenty of streaming services already existing, and Disney+ to launch soon, Apple faces plenty of competition so it will be interesting to see which platform consumers end up choosing.
No pricing has been announced for the subscription service.
