The Sony BVM HX310 reference monitor is Sony’s highest-end monitor, based on new LCD technology. Sony say it offers a uniform 1000nits of brightness across the unit and has black levels comparable to OLED units despite using an LCD panel.
The aim for the HX310 was a “better, more faithful representation of reality” so it has a slightly bigger colour space than Sony’s previous X300 model.
The display is physically deep, to accommodate Sony’s backlight technology which is designed to maximise the durability and longevity of the panel.
Sony BVM HX310 price and availability
That’s just as well because when it’s available in February 2019 the HX310 will be priced at around €30,000.
